Track-Only McLaren Senna GTR will get 813 horsepowerNovember 2, 2018
McLaren Senna GTR will be designed primarily for use within the racetrack.
Recently, official representatives of the British automobile brand McLaren have talked a lot about their new McLaren Senna GTR supercar.
For the first time, a conceptual version of the McLaren Senna GTR was presented at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. Now we know for sure that the serial performance of this supercar will be under the hood. The engine will be installed 4.0-liter V8 biturbo, which are equipped with many models of the brand. It is known that its power will be 813 hp, we note that in the normal version of the Senna model, this figure is 789 hp.
So far, there is no data on how much the new model will weigh, but nevertheless we know that the Senna GTR will be able to generate 1,000 kg of downforce.
Since this version of the car was created mainly for the racetrack, many elements that are in the standard model were removed. For example, there are no more airbags, no infotainment screen. A sporting steering wheel with gear shift “petals” appeared in the cabin. It was decided to leave the climate system – yet riding a McLaren Senna GTR should be not only fast but also enjoyable. For safety, the car is equipped with a collision avoidance system.
According to representatives of the British brand, all 75 copies of the novelty have already been sold at a price of 1.1 million pounds.
Not so long ago, our automobile edition wrote that the first official McLaren SpeedTail video appeared on the web.
