Track Cadillac V-Series will be supplemented by versions of BlackwingApril 15, 2020
The line of “charged” Cadillac will soon be replenished with new modifications of the brand’s models, which will receive the V Blackwing prefix in the name.
A distinctive feature of the new V-Series Blackwing line will be the special tuning of the chassis, electronic assistants and the power plant. Also, all models will be equipped with non-alternative mechanical transmission. The other day, the automaker posted on the web a view with camouflaged prototypes, without revealing their technical characteristics. It was noted that the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing will be released in a limited edition.
Prototype testing took place on a racetrack in Virginia. The video demonstrates the superiority of new products over their predecessors, which will make them the fastest Cadillac sedans. The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, the main rival of the BMW M3, will receive a 3.6-liter turbocharged V6, while the main rival of the BMW M5 – the larger CT5-V Blackwing – will boast a 6.2-liter V8 compressor.
In this case, the rest of the model will be repeated serial. They will be based on the rear-wheel drive platform Alpha 2 with optional all-wheel drive. The official debut of the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing is expected in the near future.
