Toyota will release a new low-cost crossoverDecember 14, 2019
Next year, Toyota will expand its own SUV line with another subcompact crossover.
India will obviously become the first and main market of the upcoming model, since it is in this region that Toyota collaborates with Suzuki in the exchange of design and technical solutions.
The prototype of the new compact cross-country Toyota will be the Suzuki Vitara Brezza, which has been letting out the Indian division of Suzuki since 2016. The local press read the same dimensions (3995 x 1790 x 1640 mm in length, width and height, respectively) and similar technical specifications.
According to assumptions, the novelty will receive a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 105 hp, paired with which will work a 5-speed “mechanics” or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The drive will be offered exclusively front-wheel drive.
It is expected that the debut of the new product, developed on the basis of the cross Suzuki Vitara Brezza, will be held in February at the Auto Expo in New Delhi. It’s too early to talk about the cost of the upcoming crossover, however, for sure, it will cost about the same as the current Suzuki Vitara Brezza variation – from 780,000 rupees
