Indian media reported that the Japanese company Toyota wants to release the popular crossover Suzuki XL6 under its brand. Toyota and Suzuki signed a cooperation agreement two years ago.
Under the terms of this agreement, brands must “exchange” some models. In addition, Toyota will open up access for its partner to its hybrid technologies, and Suzuki, in turn, to modern low-volume engines. The first model to be released under the contract was the five-door Toyota Glanza, which is the converted Suzuki Baleno hatchback. Following the Toyota logo, the Vitara Brezza crossover will be released, and a little later, the Suzuki XL6 bestseller will join them.
Sales of this crossven started in early August: the demand for the new product was booming. This model is called the off-road modification of the Suzuki Ertiga, but it has a different front design. In addition, the XL6 has a protective body kit made of plastic with wheel arch extensions, a new rear bumper and optics on LED-matrices.
The length of the car reaches 4,445 mm, and ground clearance – 180 mm.
Among the features of the new items, it is worth noting the separate “captain’s” chairs of the second row, each of which receives an individual armrest. When finishing, the manufacturer used black leather. Already in the “base” crosswain rely multimedia with a seven-inch screen, cruise control, rear parking sensors, two airbags, automatic climate control and much more. For a surcharge, the client receives a leather interior, light and rain sensors, as well as a rear view camera.
The XL6 is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol aspirated engine with a return of 105 hp. and an auxiliary starter generator for 48 volts.
