The IIHS has given the model a nearly maximum safety rating.

The 2021 Toyota Venza has passed the safety tests of the American Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. As a result of the tests, the car received the second most important Top Safety Pick rating. In other words, the model stopped one step away from the Top Safety Pick + title because of its headlights.

In addition to the passive safety of the new Toyota Venza 2021, experts noted the high performance of active safety systems. In particular, the experts were impressed by the work of the automatic braking and collision avoidance system. It is noted that the system works perfectly when a pedestrian appears in front of the car.

As mentioned above, the weak point of the newest car was its LED headlights. They got the lowest possible rating – “Marginal”. The optics received such a low score due to insufficient illumination at left turns. Apparently, in expensive versions, the car is equipped with better headlights, because such cars have received an “Acceptable” rating.
