Toyota unveils 2021 off-road TRD Pro familyJuly 8, 2020
The Japanese brand announced an updated family of SUVs and pickups Toyota TRD Pro 2021 model year. Data on the prices of new items are not yet known.
Introduced in 2014 for the first time, the Toyota TRD Pro off-road family was born out of the “rich racing and off-road heritage” of the Japanese automaker and includes the brand’s coolest SUVs. The TRD Pro 2021 family of the model year, as before, includes four representatives – the Sequoia TRD full-size SUV Pro, the Tundra TRD Pro full-size pickup truck, the Tacoma TRD Pro mid-size pickup truck, and the 4Runner TRD Pro mid-size SUV.
Now a few words about the changes. The Army Green body shade, which painted the bodies of the above cars in the 2020 model year, was replaced by the new Lunar Rock color. This shade will be the only body paint option for the TRD Pro 2021 model year.
In addition to the new color, the 4Runner SUV will be equipped with LED headlights in absolutely all trim levels, while the 4Runner TRD Pro version (along with Limited and Nightshade versions) also receives LED optics.
LED fog lights are also standard on all vehicles in the updated TRD Pro 2021 family.
External changes for the 4Runner SUV continue with new sets of black alloy rims wrapped in Nitto Terra Grappler tires. According to the assurances of the brand, the new wheels have become more durable, and also have a more aggressive spoke design. The 2021 4Runner TRD Pro also receives a retuned 2.5-inch Fox shock absorber with internal bypass designed to increase speed comfort without compromising off-road performance.
“Toyota is also pleased to announce the release of the special editions of the Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runner Trail of 2021, first presented at the Chicago Motor Show earlier this year, which will finally go on sale this fall.”
