Toyota Supra will officially present at the Detroit Auto Show

According to official data, the long-awaited presentation of the new generation of Japanese legends Toyota Supra will be held at the motor show in Detroit, which will be held early next year. I must say that the people of Germany are very lucky – they can now pre-order a new Toyota Supra.

Engineers of the Japanese automaker Toyota, as they say, put the final touches on the new (second in line) generation of the Supra sports coupe, and this, apparently, happens without the participation of BMW specialists. A couple of hours ago, a notice appeared on the official Facebook page of the social networking site that the long-awaited presentation of the sports legend receiver will take place at the Detroit Automobile Show (USA). The event will be held early next year. It is also reported that German motorists can now pre-order a new product.

Despite the fact that the new version of the Japanese Supra shares the platform with the German BMW Z4 roadster, these two cars should have only a few common features, including the size of the wheelbase, the width, and the location of the fuel tank and the front pillar.

Otherwise, the Toyota Supra and the BMW Z4 will be significantly different from each other. The main constructive difference is that the Z4 is a roof-roof roadster, and the Supra has a coupe body.

The evolution of the FT-1 concept, which was shown back in 2014, will have a lower ground clearance than another company sports car – 86. Even without using carbon fiber, the company’s engineers managed to give the coupe the same level of rigidity. as the supercar Lexus LFA.

Like the German “cousin”, the Toyota Supra will be offered with 4- and 6-cylinder turbocharged engines made by BMW, which will be connected to the ZF “automatic”. With an excellent weight distribution of 50:50 and a curb weight of only 1,449 kg, the novelty should feel quite confident in sharp turns.
