According to the portal, this engine will develop 510 hp on the Japanese sports car. and work together with a 7-band DCT and rear-wheel drive system. So, the novelty may become the fastest in the Supra family.
According to the agency, some of the information the journalists received from the head of the Supra project, Tezia Tada. It is obvious that BMW is not very willing to share its engine with a Japanese company. But the portal reports that the appearance of the Supra GRMN with a motor from the German brand is expected in 2023 with a circulation of 200 copies, and, most likely, this will not hit BMW sales much.
According to the Japanese publication, Toyota will cease production of the Supra in 2025, and no successor to this model is planned. Thus, the Supra GRMN can be a farewell series of the iconic sports car.
