Toyota Supra debuted in Geneva already sold a year in advanceMarch 5, 2019
The entire quota of the revived sports coupe for the European market is already sold out. And only in the near future will begin taking orders for 2020.
Another BMW B58 engine car makes its debut in Geneva, joining the Morgan Plus Six, which we wrote about today. Toyota brought the revived Toyota Supra coupe with its 3.0-liter straight-six BMW engine to the opening of the Geneva Motor Show. For the local market, the bi-turbo engine will be tuned to 340 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque.
“Despite the fact that Toyota had no plans to release a new Supra, like many other Supra fans around the world, I secretly wanted this to happen. And I can honestly say that this is a car that gives pleasure … “, – said Toyota President Akio Toyoda about the revived Supra.
Although looking at a real car in a serial image during the exhibition is a great opportunity to get to know it for all potential customers and fans of the model, in fact it will be impossible to buy it until 2020. The new Toyota Supra turned out to be so popular that the company cannot cope with consumer demand and all the cars allocated for Europe are already sold out. Soon will open applications for 2020.
The first owners of the model in Europe will receive a number of bonuses. Toyota does not disclose the exact benefits, but says that customers “will have access to exclusive training programs and a number of awards that cannot be bought.”
