The new sports car Toyota Supra, built on the same platform as the BMW Z4, debuts in mid-January at the Detroit Auto Show.
Toyota has released the latest teaser of the revived Supra sports car, which will be built on the same chassis with the new BMW Z4. The public premiere of the new product will take place on Monday, January 14th, at the Detroit Auto Show.
As previously reported, the new Supra will borrow some stylistic solutions from the FT-1 concept car, shown in Detroit in early 2014.
The revived Toyota Supra will be equipped with a three-liter six-cylinder engine with two turbines, which is already equipped with the third generation BMW Z4 sports car. On the European version of the model with the index Z4 M40i, this engine develops 340 liters. with. and 500 Nm of torque. It is assumed that the coupe can accelerate from the spot to the first 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
As expected, in the future, the Supra will have a modification with a two-liter engine with a capacity of about 260 horsepower. All engines will be paired with a six-speed automatic transmission or with an eight-speed automatic transmission ZF.
