Toyota regains the title of most expensive auto brand in the worldOctober 21, 2020
The Japanese automaker is once again the most expensive car brand in the world.
As the domestic automobile publication notes with reference to the consulting agency Interbrand, several automakers were included in the annual rating of the “100 most expensive brands in the world”. Thus, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz and BMW were among the most successful, with an estimated value of $ 51.595 billion, $ 49.268 billion and $ 39.756 billion. This allowed automakers to take the seventh, eighth and eleventh places in the ranking, respectively.
The Japanese Honda is estimated a little less – only about $ 21.694 billion. The Korean concern Hyundai, which has a price tag of $ 14.295 billion, is also in the top five.
American Tesla this time was only 6th among car brands and 40th in the overall table. Elon Musk’s company is worth $ 12.785 billion, nearly $ 220 million more than Ford, one of North America’s oldest carmakers.
The rating also includes Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Nissan, Ferrari, Kia, Land Rover and, finally, MINI. For comparison, the sub-brand of the Bavarian BMW has a value of about 4.965 billion dollars, which is almost 11 times less than Toyota.
