Toyota refreshes Camry with special 40th anniversary editionAugust 5, 2020
Toyota has revamped the Camry and showcased a commemorative special modification.
The new WS Black Edition is based on the WS configuration. The sedan is finished in Precious Black Pear (although Platinum White Pearl Mica and Emotional Red II are optionally available) and has 18-inch black rims. Additionally, the headlights and grille were darkened.
The interior is dominated by red leather: it is used on the seats, door inserts and the front panel. In turn, the front seats got heated and electrically adjustable.
In addition, the Camry has been equipped with Intelligent Clearance Sonar to assist with parking. So, the car independently monitors the distance to obstacles, so in an emergency it will not give an opportunity to quickly accelerate.
As before, the Camry will be offered in the Japanese car market with a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 178-horsepower naturally aspirated 2.5-liter A25A-FXS engine and a 120 hp electric motor. The cost starts at 3.485 million yen. For the special version of the WS Black Edition, you will have to pay 4.208 million yen with a front-wheel drive system and 4.406 million yen with an all-wheel drive system.
In addition, it was recently noted that the Japanese Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV has received an update. It should be emphasized that in Japan, the Land Cruiser Prado with the new powertrain is available at a cost of 4.285 million yen to 5.53 million yen.
