Toyota publishes prices for new Toyota YarisAugust 2, 2020
In the UK, Japanese superminis are priced at a minimum of £ 19,910.
The fourth-generation Japanese Toyota Yaris is the first model to be based on the TNGA GA-B platform, a scaled-down version of the same chassis components that were well received on the Corolla and RAV4. It is only being released as a hybrid, and despite earlier rumors that Toyota GB might consider adding a non-hybrid edition as a cheaper model in the lineup, the idea was scrapped. All versions in UK showrooms will be electrified.
Indeed, the move means there is only one technical specification for the Yaris: a 1.5-liter three-cylinder hybrid powertrain with a total system power of 85 kW and a lithium-ion battery. Acceleration to hundreds is 9.7 seconds.
As part of the tougher WLTP efficiency test, the new Yaris hybrid has a fuel consumption of 3.4 to 3.5 liters and CO2 emissions of 92 to 98 g / km, depending on model specification.
The British line will have four trim levels: Icon, Design, Dynamic and Excel. In the basic version, the novelty offers 16-inch alloy wheels, a seven-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rearview camera, automatic headlights and wipers, air conditioning, electrically adjustable side mirrors and electric front windows.
The Design version (£ 20,970) includes a different wheel design, an eight-inch infotainment display, LED headlights and taillights, and an optional panoramic roof.
The Dynamic (£ 21,920) rises to 17-inch wheels and includes dual-zone air conditioning, an eight-speaker JBL audio system, keyless entry and push-button start, and front sports seats with partially synthetic leather upholstery.
The top-of-the-line Excel is priced at £ 22,220 and includes auto-folding side mirrors, blind spot monitoring and rear parking sensors with automatic braking to prevent collisions when parking.
Toyota is also launching the £ 24,005 Launch Edition specialty and includes a two-tone paint job in Tokyo Fusion Red and Eclipse Black Pearlescent, as well as a 10-inch color head-up display and auto-dimming rearview mirror, as well as blue ambient lighting in salon.
All new Yaris models will come with Toyota’s five-year 100,000 mile warranty. Sales will begin now, with the first deliveries to customers due in September
