Toyota patented new GRMN trademark for North AmericaFebruary 26, 2020
Under the new brand, the Japanese plan to sell “charged” models.
After the debut of Toyota Yaris GR at the beginning of 2020, there was talk that the “charged” novelty should reach the United States. Now, the foreign portal motor1.com reports that Toyota has filed a trademark application for GRMN with the US Patent and Trademark Office. Americans are available Toyota Racing Development, which adds all sorts of updates for Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner and Tundra. However, back in the summer of 2019, Toyota Supra chief engineer Tetsuya Tada talked about a hotter version of Supra with GRMN. According to rumors, the appearance of such a car may take place already this year.
The “first-born” GRMN in the American car market may be a restyled Corolla.
It has already been officially confirmed that such a model will appear in the middle of the life cycle of the current generation of Corolla. Such a car will not receive an upgraded hybrid, as previously assumed. Also, the manufacturer has not yet announced whether the new product will appear in the United States.
Recall that in recent years, the Japanese brand has persistently tried to get rid of its conservative and restrained image. One of the main steps taken in this direction is the release of more productive machines that are very bold in terms of design. All this should be of interest to young customers.
