Toyota patented names for new electric carApril 7, 2021
The Japanese automaker Toyota has patented a new trademark BZ.
Recently, documents were found on the network, which say that Toyota has patented a new trademark “BZ”, under which electric vehicles will be produced. About a year ago, Toyota’s new all-electric crossover was talked about on the network, when the BZ name was used as an internal model name, but now it has become the name of the brand.
The new Toyota BZ will be about the same size as the Toyota RAV4 crossover, but due to the absence of an internal combustion engine and the need to place a battery under the floor of the car, its wheelbase will be slightly larger. Due to the lack of internal combustion engines, the car will have short overhangs and a decent headroom for the front and rear passengers.
Note that the new Toyota BZ will be the first all-electric car of the brand – before that the Japanese preferred the production of hybrid models and fuel cell vehicles. It should be mentioned that specialists from Subaru also worked on the new Toyota BZ. The company is also expected to show its electric crossover shortly after the premiere.
