Toyota laughed at the lack of a Supra in Need for Speed, but no one understoodAugust 23, 2019
Recently, representatives of Need for Speed published a list of cars that will be presented in the game. Unfortunately for the fans, not a single Toyota was on the list, including the new generation Supra. The manufacturer tried to explain this with humor, but no one understood the joke.
Fans of the brand asked a question on Twitter why there is not a single model in the new Need for Speed. In response, the company wrote that it does not support illegal racing, so their cars can be found in the professional Gran Turismo simulator.
The authors of the new Need for Speed answered Toyota with the phrase “pff, bores”, which caused user support. Then it turned out that the company’s models are not only in this game – for example, in Forza Motorsport, where there are no illegal races, there are none either.
As a result, the company deleted the tweet and released a more official response. Representatives of the brand explained that they are actually fans of racing simulators, but now they have a contract with Sony, so you can only manage virtual Toyota cars in the Gran Turismo series.
In the new game from the Need for Speed series, developers added an illegal racing mode. During the day, players will be able to participate in legal races and earn money for tuning. At night, the game will take on a different character – there will be increased police attention to street racing, which will complicate participation in them, but prizes for victory will be more valuable.
