Toyota Land Cruiser SUV turned into a motorhomeDecember 26, 2020
The company Earthcruiser showed a residential module of its development, which is supposed to be installed on the chassis of the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 SUV.
The module is made of composite materials, and its design provides for a lifting roof. As a result, a sleeping place of 138×195 cm appears on the roof, surrounded by fabric walls with transparent inserts and mosquito nets.
The set of equipment for the XTR250 consists of a fold-out shower stall, a kitchen with a hob, a dining area and storage boxes. In addition, the module has a retractable barbecue grill, a heater and air conditioner, a drinking water tank with a capacity of up to 250 liters and its own battery.
The main functions of the motorhome can be controlled using a separate touch screen. For a surcharge, the builders of the module will expand its multimedia capabilities by installing monitors, an acoustic system, a rear-view camera and much more. Development estimated at A $ 240,000 minimum
Earthcruiser specialists are also upgrading the chassis on which the camper is based. Land Cruisers add more suspension and brakes, change differentials, clutch and off-road tires. The engine is basic: we are talking about a 202-horsepower 4.5-liter V8 diesel engine, together with a 5-speed manual transmission.
In addition, some time ago it was noted that the 1993 Land Rover Defender 110 SUV has turned into a luxury restomod. It should be emphasized that the modernization of this car was done by the Osprey Custom Cars studio.
