The car has got slightly modified configurations, new security systems, and an even more efficient power unit. We are talking about an improved version of the 1GD-FTV diesel engine with a volume of 2.8 liters. It now produces 204 hp. and 500 Nm together with the previous 177 hp. and 450 Nm. According to Toyota, optimization of the engine design has reduced fuel consumption by 17%.
Currently we are talking about a Land Cruiser Prado for the Japanese car market, but very soon the new engine will be offered on others. In addition, the Land Cruiser Prado began to be equipped with an updated variation of Toyota Safety Sense 2.0. The system can now identify pedestrians and cyclists in advance. From now on, the SUV, in particular, can optionally be equipped with an infotainment complex with a 9-inch display and support for connecting smartphones.
In the Japanese market, the Land Cruiser Prado with the new engine is priced between ¥ 4.285 million and ¥ 5.53 million.
In addition, it was recently reported that the Japanese Toyota RAV4 crossover has acquired an ultra-black special variation. It should be emphasized that a special monochrome modification has acquired the “speaking” name Black Edition. Deliveries of new items will begin in October this year.
