Toyota is testing a new crossoverMay 26, 2020
Mag-X published a photo of a mysterious car with a camouflaged front end. Journalists believe that we have before us a new Toyota model.
Earlier in the tests, a prototype of an unknown model, which was called Corolla Cross, was noticed. Pictures of the all-terrain modification of the sedan were published by AutoTimesNews. However, Mag-X is convinced that the fresh images are a completely different model. One of the assumptions is that we have a completely new TJ Cruiser.
Recall that the appearance of the Toyota TJ Cruiser concept took place in 2017 as part of the Tokyo Motor Show. The prototype of the production model was based on the TNGA architecture. The machine has a length of 4300 mm, a width of 1755 mm, and a height of 1620 mm. Moreover, the size of the wheelbase of the crossover reaches 2750 mm.
The Toyota TJ Cruiser concept is endowed with a brutal and aggressive appearance. Also, the car boasts a massive off-road body kit and wheel arch extensions. Also, all body panels of the crossover were coated with a special protective coating.
The novelty is based on the modular architecture of GA-C, which underlies the Prius and C-HR. Based on this, we can conclude that the car will be in the lineup below the Toyota RAV4 and slightly larger than the new Yaris Cross.
In the picture you can see narrow daytime running lights and strongly tilted windshield struts. However, it is worth noting that automakers usually partially mask only updated versions of models – new items are completely covered with camouflage.
