Toyota has submitted a patent for built-in car washApril 9, 2019
The integrated system, judging by the description of the patent, the new system will be able to wash the pickup truck bay independently. In the left side of the hidden water tank, and on the perimeter of the cargo compartment located washer nozzles.
Often patents are registered just in case. Since the serial implementation of the presented systems is rather doubtful. But now, Toyota has introduced a new system that could become the basis for a new option on the company’s American pickups.
The main part of the system is enclosed in special-design nozzles located along the perimeter of the cargo compartment. In the left side of the car will be located a reservoir from which water is supplied under high pressure. This allows you to quickly wash the dirt from the cargo compartment.
Also, the system can be equipped with a timer and sensors that do not allow to activate the car wash if there is a load in the back (there is also a pending car wash). At the same time, sources of fluid and air can be both external and internal.
So far, Toyota has not made any official announcements. Therefore, the date of the serial incarnation is still unknown.
