Toyota has postponed the premiere of a new crossover based on YarisMarch 4, 2020
The presentation was to be held as part of the Geneva Motor Show, which was canceled due to the coronavirus epidemic. They did not follow the example of colleagues and talk about the new product online in Toyota.
Japanese company Toyota has postponed the premiere of its new crossover, which is based on the Yaris model. Until the end of the day, everyone was waiting for the new items to be shown online, but this did not happen. According to unconfirmed information, the premiere was postponed several weeks in advance. It is possible that Toyota will organize its own event, at which the novelty will be presented. Toyota representatives have repeatedly stated that they are working on a new crossover – it should be based on the GA-B platform, which is used on the new Toyota Yaris.
However, the novelty should not only be a hatchback with increased ground clearance, but a truly new car. In the model range of the brand, the novelty will stand one step below the CH-R crossover.
Car production will be launched at the company’s factory in France. Toyota has high hopes for a new cross – the company expects that by 2025 about 30% of all European brand sales will fall on it.
