Toyota to help doctors in Japan has developed a special transport for transporting patients with severe Covid-19. Such cars can be found in the Japanese capital, as well as two neighboring prefectures. Recall, according to current statistics, at present over 14,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Japan. The total number of deaths from coronavirus infection in this country reaches 455 cases. To help local doctors in their difficult struggle, Toyota equipped 11 Hiace minibuses, making them suitable for transporting “heavy” patients who were diagnosed with coronavirus.
Such machines have a special ventilation system. A fan that displaces polluted air and prevents it from entering the cabin is located inside. The rear compartment and front part were divided by a special partition.
The first batch of cars has already hit one of Tokyo’s hospitals. It is reported that Toyota is not going to abandon the development of such models for doctors. In addition, a little earlier, the automaker began to produce medical face shields. In a month, the company will be able to produce about 40,000 such personal protective equipment.
