Toyota has brought to the home market an updated RAV4April 11, 2019
The company announced the availability of six different crossover configurations. The model gained access to the D-Call Net automatic collision warning service – a joint development of Honda, Toyota, the Japanese rescue service and the medical network of helicopters and hospitals (HEM-Net).
The updated version of the Toyota RAV4 has entered the Japanese market. A feature of the model is a wide integration with automatic or manual communication systems with technical support services, medical centers and emergency services.
Under the hood in the local market offers a classic turbo 2.0-liter, capable of developing up to 170 horsepower, as well as a modern hybrid with an atmospheric 2.5-liter engine with a total capacity of up to 222 horsepower. Together with the motors, only the Direct Shift-CVT CVT, equipped with a “starting gear”, is offered.
Already in the staffing equipment of the basic version of the entry level security complex entered Toyota Safety Sense. But the main feature was the DCM communication module with 24-hour access to the concierge service, Help Net, which automatically calls emergency services when the airbags are triggered, and D-Call Net, which connects clinics and air ambulance bases throughout the country. In the event of a serious accident, electronics may trigger a rescue helicopter.
While the fifth generation Toyota RAV4 is not available in Russia. Sales may begin in the summer. Price list and other details are not reported yet.
