Toyota has announced the debut of the new generation MiraiOctober 14, 2020
The hydrogen car concept car was unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Show last year. The car hasn’t been updated since 2014.
Toyota has teased a new generation of the Mirai sedan. In the picture, we see the car in a blue shade and the inscription that says that the car will debut in December 2020. At the moment, Toyota has told only one detail about the new product – the car will be rear-wheel drive.
In terms of exterior and interior, you should turn your attention to the concept car shown in Tokyo in 2014, which is very different from the current version of the car. The car has become longer and wider, has received smooth curves, and the ground clearance has decreased. The interior of the concept impressed with technology and premium equipment – a multimedia system with a large touchscreen and a premium JBL speaker system, including 14 speakers, are striking.
Toyota said it wants to increase the Mirai’s range by at least 30%. In this case, it will grow from 502 to 653 kilometers.
True, the difficulty lies elsewhere – the infrastructure for the provision of hydrogen cars is not developed even in Japan, so the growth in sales of the new product may be questionable even after a generational change.
