Toyota Corolla turned into the new Suzuki SwaceSeptember 15, 2020
Suzuki Swace station wagon is a new addition to the partnership between the two Japanese automakers.
As part of the agreement on the exchange of models between the Japanese companies Suzuki and Toyota, a new model has appeared – we are talking about the Suzuki Swace, which in many ways repeats the Toyota Corolla. At the same time, from the point of view of design, there were practically no changes – naturally, the Toyota logo was replaced by the Suzuki brand badge, the front bumper was slightly changed, and the fog lights were moved to the side sections.
But the interior of the new car was completely transferred from the donor. The goal of the new model for Suzuki is to increase the number of its cars, as well as to reduce emissions. For this, the power plant has a small power of 98 hp, and the electric motor is capable of delivering 72 hp. The maximum power is only 122 hp.
The maximum speed of the Suzuki Swace is 180 km / h, and it takes 11.1 seconds to reach the first 100 km / h. The starting equipment will receive a fairly rich equipment – headlights with LED filling, a multimedia system with an 8-inch screen, and adaptive cruise control.
Production will be established in England – this is where Toyota Corolla is produced.
The start of sales should take place in winter. Prices are expected to be comparable to those of the Corolla.
