Toyota Calya waited for updateSeptember 5, 2019
This model became known three years ago when Daihatsu and Toyota presented their budget compact vans intended for the markets of Southeast Asia. These are the “twins” Daihatsu Sigra and Toyota Calya. Now Calya is finally updated.
The network has photos of the updated compact van Toyota Calya 2020. The novelty has acquired a modified radiator grille, new bumpers, modified head optics, as well as other taillights. In the interior of the compact van there are now better materials, and multimedia has become an order of magnitude more modern. The manufacturer did not touch the dimensions of the model: its length is still 4,070 mm, and the wheelbase is 2,525 mm.
The updated Toyota Calya is equipped with a 1.2-liter “aspirated” with a capacity of 88 horsepower, working in tandem with either a five-speed manual transmission or 4-speed automatic transmission. But the drive is a non-alternative front.
The compact van Calya and its “twin” Daihatsu Sigra debuted in 2016. They were created for the markets of Southeast Asia: Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, etc. As a platform for them, a “cart” from Toyota Agya and Daihatsu Ayla hatchbacks was chosen.
CompactVen Toyota Calya receives ABS and EBD, frontal airbags, air conditioning with manual control, full-time audio system and rear parking sensors. On sale updated Toyota Calya / Daihatsu Sigra will appear this fall. Their cost is so far kept secret. For comparison, the “pre-reform” compact van was estimated at a minimum of 114 million Indonesian rupees
