Toyota announced the start of sales of its cheapest crossover Yaris LXOctober 21, 2019
Toyota introduced its most affordable SUV, built on the basis of the Yaris L. hatchback, to the market. The novelty appeared in the salons of Chinese dealers in three trim levels available for purchase.
In China, you can now purchase the new miniature Toyota Yaris LX crossover, which is also the cheapest SUV in the lineup of the Japanese brand. The length of the novelty, based on the Yaris L hatchback, reaches 4 160 mm, width – 1 720 mm, height – 1 520 mm, wheelbase – 2 550 mm. The cross differs from its counterpart in “grown” ground clearance, a hexagonal shaped radiator grille, new optics, modified bumpers with silver lining, and an off-road body kit of unpainted plastic with athletic wheel arch extensions.
In the passenger compartment, a different front panel with a “soaring” multimedia touchscreen flaunts, and the seats here receive leather upholstery with contrasting stitching.
The new crossover is set in motion by a 1.5-liter aspirated engine with a capacity of 107 hp, combined with a CVT. But the new drive does not rely on all-wheel drive. Even for a surcharge. The list of available options includes an anti-skid system and ABS, up to seven airbags, air conditioning, 16-inch wheels of the original design, etc. The cost of Yaris LX in Chinese car dealerships is from 89 800 to 103 800 yuan
Meanwhile, the cheapest analogue of the new Chevrolet Captiva became available for purchase – the updated Baojun 530 SUV. After restyling, the SUV receives new bumpers, an “grown” grille in the spirit of the flagship Baojun RS-5, as well as advanced optics.
