If GasBuddy’s forecast comes true, the average American family’s gasoline spending in 2018 will increase to $ 1,898, which is $133 or 7.5 % more than last year. In general, US households can spend $ 364.6 billion on gasoline.
GasBuddy also expects the average price of diesel fuel in the United States this year to be $ 2.7 per gallon. The increase in the cost of diesel fuel is expected already this month.
