This Tesla Model 3 will compete with the Mazda MX-5 MiataAugust 21, 2019
A visualization is presented for the American electric car Tesla Model 3, which looks very similar to the Japanese roadster Mazda MX-5 Miata.
Yes, the car from Tesla, which was originally a fairly practical sedan, has now turned into a compartment without a roof, and I must say that this version of the model looks pretty attractive!
The talented journalist Lem Bingley worked on this computer visualization and here is how he signed his publication on Twitter: “Some time ago I tweeted about an imaginary Tesla roadster, about the same size and shape as the Japanese Mazda MX-5. I dream of a smaller, lighter and cheaper sports electric car than the actual second-generation Tesla Roadster. I created a couple of new images. Let me know what you think! ”
That is, the artist’s goal is to make a small, lightweight, electric open Tesla two-seater electric car, and this is exactly what we see here.
I must say that the real Tesla Roadster is a larger car than the one shown in this render. The roadster is unlikely to be offered in an open top box. In addition, the roadster is a universal hypercar, and it is quite expensive.
Admittedly, the market for two-seater convertibles is probably quite small. Nevertheless, there is definitely a niche that Tesla may occupy, but sales of the new Model Y crossover and the long-awaited pickup should begin first. Perhaps someday in the future, the American brand will be able to “get distracted” by these smaller segments of the market, but now we need to focus on cars with mass demand.
