E.C.D. Automotive Design, which has been engaged in the modernization of the British SUV Land Rover Defender for a rather long period of time, presented another unusual project. This time, the guys decided to equip the iconic Land Rover model with a fully electric Tesla powertrain.
It is reported that on a fully charged battery with a capacity of 100 kilowatts * hours, the car can travel a distance of 354 km. The company claims that their version of the Defender SUV also has a five-hour three-phase charge.
Inside, there are diamond-shaped seats, and instead of second-row seats, there are two benches on each side. The interior also boasts a modern infotainment system. Guys from E.C.D. E.C.D. Automotive Design claims that the electric Defender can accelerate to 100 km / h in an impressive 5.5 seconds, which is a record sprint time for any SUV, especially considering its square body shape. Unfortunately, so far nothing has been said about how much power an electric motor can give.
