Thieves ripped off a car that isn’t even on sale yetJanuary 24, 2020
Wheels are removed from cars quite often (this is one of the most popular crafts of thieves), but in this case we are talking about a damaged car that has not yet had time to appear on the market!
in Detroit (USA), vandals removed the wheels from the new Chevrolet Corvette C8 2020 supercar. At the same time, the situation looks doubly sad, because the criminals did their job clumsily enough: almost a bit of asphalt was thrown into a disfigured car, as a result of which the car could also get damaged underbody.
Most likely, this car belongs to the plant, and one of the company employees rode it. And all because the Chevrolet Corvette C8 2020 is not yet on sale – the delivery of the supercar will begin only at the end of February.
Nevertheless, one should not be very surprised at what he saw: the fact is that for several decades Detroit has remained one of the most criminogenic cities not only in the USA, but also in the whole world. So, in 2017, the number of vehicle thefts here amounted to 301 per 100,000 inhabitants.
It is difficult to say about the exact amount of losses, but one thing is obvious – the damage was done for several thousand dollars.
