They tried to turn the Honda Crosstour into a Lamborghini Urus. It didn’t work out very wellAugust 31, 2020
The work was done very clumsy: sheets of metal were simply attached to the body of the Crosstour
Reddit.com users on Shitty Car Mods discuss a very crude rework of the white Honda Crosstour seen in Palm Springs, California. From the photographs of the car, you can guess that the author wanted to turn the Japanese crossover into a kind of Lamborghini Urus, but the implementation let us down.
The “Urus transformation” boils down to a huge spoiler that looks more or less decent, and a custom body kit – it is a metal plate attached to the original Crosstour body. The plates on the sides mimic the wheel arch extensions, and the front bumper is fitted with a carelessly made front bumper, which, however, has a distant resemblance to the Urus bumper.
Also in front you can see a handrail screwed to the bumper, the purpose of which remains unknown, and a protruding “lip”, reminiscent of a reduced track cleaner on a steam locomotive. Probably, these two elements protect the bumper from impacts. The Crosstour also has chrome wheels with low profile tires and tinted taillights.
In the Shitty Car Mods section, you can find other examples of questionable tuning, such as a Smart Batmobile with tiny wheels and a GMC with an airplane tail.
