There are photos of the open version of the Porsche 911 TurboJuly 18, 2019
In the list of distinctive features of the future 911 Turbo Cabriolet, not only a folding top of an unusual color, but also impressive wheels, and huge brakes with perforated discs and bright yellow calipers – apparently, this can be considered a hint of carbon-ceramic brakes.
In addition, the massive aerodynamic element in the rear part of the cabriolet is clearly visible: apparently, the Porsche 911 Turbo will receive an active wing that will rise and fall depending on the speed of movement.
Given the deliberate lack of camouflage on the prototypes, it seems unlikely that it is in this form that the Porsche 911 Turbo will go to the series. The aerodynamic plumage of a sports car on the way to the conveyor may well change more than once.
As for the power unit, then, according to preliminary data, the sports car will receive a modified version of the current 3.8-liter boxer six. It can develop from 600 hp for the standard modification of up to 640 horses for the execution of the 911 Turbo S, while the engine will have to work with a brand new eight-speed robotized gearbox.
The Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe should be presented before the end of the year. Accordingly, the official premiere of a convertible can only be expected in 2020 – perhaps at an exhibition in Geneva.
