There are photos of the new Mercedes-Benz S-ClassApril 8, 2019
The new generation of the German executive sedan from Mercedes-Benz has been caught with less disguise than ever before. The car will be introduced next year, and it will go on sale as a 2021 model year sedan.
Foreign journalists have been chasing the prototypes of a completely new generation of executive sedans for a very long time. Until now, all the captured cars had a huge amount of camouflage, and those pictures of the car, which were published a couple of minutes ago, show at last that the disguise is slowly starting to be removed.
Despite the fact that the majestic form of the sedan is still a lot of makeup, for the first time we clearly see that electric door handles give the flagship an elegant profile.
It is worth mentioning that retractable handles are not new, as many other cars already have, including models from Tesla, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Lexus and even Hyundai. Even the Subaru XT of the 1980s could boast retractable door handles.
The next-generation Mercedes S-Class (internal W223 index) also shows off new headlights and taillights. All of them are similar to the ones that are installed in the latest Mercedes models, such as the CLS and CLA.
Recent spy shots have allowed us to look at a completely redesigned interior with a new dashboard design, dominated by a Tesla touch screen with portrait orientation.
Mercedes-Benz will launch mass production of the S-Class at a completely new factory in Sindelfingen, Germany. Start of production is scheduled for early next year, most likely, the car will go on sale as a sedan 2021 model year.
Not so long ago, we wrote that Mercedes-AMG published a video with the new CLA 35.
