There are details about the electric car Audi RS E-Tron GTJanuary 2, 2020
The presentation of the electric car Audi RS E-Tron GT will be held in November this year. The start of sales is scheduled for next year. It is expected that the E-Tron and E-Tron Sportback will also receive the most powerful RS-versions.
Audi Sport had a rather eventful 2019 with numerous debuts of powerful S- and RS-versions of its usual models in several market segments, but the beginning of the new decade will be even more stressful in this regard. The German brand is going to introduce several electrified new products. For example, the next generation of the high-performance station wagon RS4 Avant will receive a plug-in hybrid powerplant.
A competitor to Audi’s other German electric Porsche Taycan sedan (the model will be designated the E-Tron GT), it will certainly receive more powerful versions of the S and RS in the same vein as the first Porsche electric car currently offered in 4S, Turbo and Turbo versions S.
It is currently unclear whether the stylish Audi zero-emission sedan will meet the technical specifications of its “sibling” from Porsche, which is available in versions with 523 hp, 670 hp. and 751 bhp respectively.
Recall that the conceptual version of the machine was developed with an all-wheel drive layout – an electric motor on each axis and a battery of 96 kW * h. The total power was 582 horsepower, and it took 3.5 seconds to accelerate to 100 km / h, and to a speed of 200 km / h, the E-Tron GT could accelerate in just over 12 seconds. Maximum speed was electronically limited at around 240 km / h. The power reserve of the concept was more than 400 kilometers (measurements were carried out according to the international WLTP cycle), and it took about 20 minutes to charge the battery to 80%, which is enough for a range of more than 320 km.
According to the same report, Audi plans to introduce the S-version of its electric car from the first day of sales, and a more powerful RS-performance a bit later. It is expected that the official presentation of the electric car will take place in November this year as part of the Los Angeles auto show, so the RS version of the new product is unlikely to be released until the end of 2021 – the beginning of 2022.
