There are details about the “charged” crossover Lamborghini Urus
May 25, 2019While it was mentioned that a working version of the super SUV is already in the development stage, Digital Trends has announced that the new product will be based on the Urus ST-X Concept, an off-road version of Urus that is off-road and has a more powerful engine.
The concept of Urus ST-X has minimal improvements compared to the usual Urus. It focuses primarily on the things that will allow the SUV to participate in races, such as safety cages, torsion reinforcement, greater weight loss – a lot of carbon fiber parts are used.
However, if you want to present what the high-performance version of the Urus crossover will look like, it’s not at all difficult to look at the ST-X concept for some visual presentation.
This hypothesis was supported by Maurizio Redzhiani, head of research and development at Lamborghini, who was asked by journalists if the Urus ST-X concept would be used as the basis for the “charged” Urus. The head of research and development answered “yes” without providing additional information.
It is also important to note that some crossovers that share the Urus platform already have more powerful versions. The British Bentley Bentayga Speed boasts a 6.0-liter W12 engine rated at 626 hp. (900 Nm), and after some time will be shown Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Turbo S, which will receive a 677-horsepower engine. The current Urus has a maximum power of 641 hp (850 Nm).
