The web showed images of the unique 1959 Cadillac Roadster DeVilleOctober 15, 2019
The car never existed, although it would have every chance of success. An independent designer decided to rethink the classic model. And judging by the images presented, the designer managed to create a dream of retro car fans.
In the Cadillac lineup in the brand’s history, there were no double roadsters except for a couple of models at the very beginning of its history. These were Cadollac Allante and XLR. Nevertheless, independent designer Abimelec Design decided to present an alternative version of the classic Cadillac model from General Motors, creating a roadster with a 1950s car design.
The fictional model is similar to the symbiosis of the XLR of the 2000s, Chevrolet Corvette and Cadillac. The 1959 Corvette and 1959 Caddy DeVille models were used as the basis for the creation of many elements. Invented by DeVille received a dual headlight unit in the head optics on massive wings. The hood, as expected for cars of that era, is simply huge. But it is worth noting that the designer managed to well convey the spirit of the 50s in the design of the front end.
In addition, the artist managed to convey even the bold ideas of designers of the past in creating rear fins with sharp angles.
According to the creator, a 6.4-liter V8 engine could be used as a power unit, capable of developing up to 325 horsepower.
