The Web “leaked” photos of the updated Renault MeganeApril 4, 2019
Journalists got an unusual version of the hatchback Renault Megane – it is quite possible that this is a hybrid version of the car. There is no official debut date yet.
Yesterday, engineers from the French brand Renault tested a new member of the Megane family. This is a high-performance Megane RS Trophy-R, which will be the fastest Megane ever created. But the new “spy” photos, which were published by foreign publications a couple of minutes ago, show that the French manufacturer is also preparing an update for the usual hatchback.
If you look closely at the published pictures, you will notice a strange exhaust pipe just below the rear bumper.
There is another green tube on the other side of the rear bumper. In addition, in front, under the passenger side door, there is an interesting group of sensors.
Although this unusual tube, apparently attached to the exhaust system, it may indicate a number of new features – we believe that Renault can work on a hybrid powerplant for its hatchback. Nothing official has yet been confirmed, but since Ford and Volkswagen are already announcing versions of their electrified models in this segment, this conjecture has the right to life.
The French novelty seems to receive minor visual improvements – it’s about the updated front end, as well as other graphics for the rear lights. You may also notice that the dashboard of this test machine is closed, so perhaps Renault is working on major changes in the cabin, in particular, we can expect an updated infotainment system R-Link.
