The web has photos of the interior of the updated BMW 2 Series Active TourerDecember 3, 2019
A small family car from a Bavarian company will increase in size and will be able to receive technical support from the new iNext tech service. The new Active Tourer Series 2 is expected to debut in 2021.
The BMW 2 Series Active Tourer can be called a very interesting car. The five-door minivan is the main product of the company in this segment in the territory of the EU countries. It is worth noting that an even larger version of this car, which received the designation Gran Tourer, will no longer be sold, but the Active Tourer will receive a new generation, and this should happen quite soon.
This is what new “spy” photographs hint at, which give us a first look at the prototype of the novelty, and also allow us to compare it with the current version of the car.
To begin with, the camouflage is still pretty tight on this prototype, and it very much prevents us from seeing what is in front and behind the car. The overall shape will not be unfamiliar to the owners of the current Active Tourer, as large doors now occupy most of the space on the sides.
The high roof descends slightly behind. Although the camouflage is still heavy in the front, we see that, like almost all new BMWs, the updated minivan will receive a large false radiator grille. It seems that its size will not be as crazy as the new M3 and M4, but it is still huge compared to the model of the current generation.
These photos also allow us to see what is in the interior of the new item, although at this stage of testing we see a disguise here too, so it may well be that the final design elements are not yet installed. It seems that the layout has digital displays, one of which will serve as a virtual dashboard, and the other will display a picture from the central infotainment system.
According to rumors, this is a completely new generation of Active Tourer model, which will receive the internal designation U08. Comparative photographs show that the novelty is definitely a bit larger than it is now, although the machine should also use a front-wheel drive platform with all-wheel drive as an additional option.
