The web has photos of the interior of the new Genesis G80 SportMay 15, 2020
At our disposal were pictures of the sports steering wheel of the new Genesis G80, which, according to the G80_Ckub profile forum, belongs to the sports modification of the model.
Rumors about the development of a sports modification of the new Genesis G80 appeared a few days ago, when images of the new configurator were published on the Web. They could be seen that the Genesis G80 Sport will be equipped with a 3.2-liter engine with a return of 420 hp. This power plant will replace the current 3.3-liter turbocharged unit and a 5.0-liter engine. The maximum torque of the new installation will be 560 Nm. Paired with it will work an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Note that the new steering wheel has touch buttons along with physical ones. The dashboard, as previously reported, will be fully digital.
Recall that the official presentation of the new Genesis G80 took place at the very end of March. Moreover, the debut was held online. As we reported, the novelty received a number of stylistic solutions from the new Genesis GV80. So, we can note the dual optics in the front. The G80 offers uncompromising style and practicality, presenting the most up-to-date interpretation of the classic sedan profile with the perfect coupe proportion combined with the Athletic Elegance signature design language. And the sharp lines of the front and rear wings emphasize the powerful 20-inch wheels.
The similarity between the models can be traced in the interior. Inside, the dashboard has turned into a vast open space with a widescreen 14.5-inch screen multimedia system, which gradually turns into a 12.3-inch screen full digital 3D dashboard. The thin duct like the Volkswagwn Passat visually makes the interior of the car wider. Particular attention was paid to reducing the thickness of the front pillars and the size of the rear view mirror, which provides the driver with a relaxed and panoramic view. The G80 uses a more traditional four-spoke steering wheel, but offers almost all of the same high-end trim materials: wood, leather, aluminum and more.
Part of the 2021 model year car update also includes the addition of new advanced safety technologies. The Genesis G80 gets an automatic emergency braking, collision avoidance, highway assist function, which allows the car to automatically change lanes when the direction indicator is pressed, and even adaptive cruise control with the so-called “machine learning”.
