The web has an image of the new generation Jeep Grand Cherokee 2022August 25, 2020
Motor1 presented its vision of what the next generation Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV could be. It is reported that the mid-size novelty of the 2022 model year should change quite a lot.
Until we were shown the long-awaited Jeep Grand Cherokee version of the 2022 model year, foreign designers will try to guess what the novelty will look like. This render is based on spy photos of a new generation SUV. According to rumors, the SUV’s exterior will be slightly updated compared to the current version of the model.
The “spy” pictures, which were taken in June this year, showed a test sample of the new Grand Cherokee with partially opened false radiator grille and headlights. The seven-slot grille design and slender horizontal headlights will remain in the new model.
We expect the grille to grow slightly in size and the headlights to be “slimmer”, but the entire front of the car will be recognizable to Jeep fans.
According to this render, the profile of the SUV shouldn’t get much change either, relative to the version of the Grand Cherokee currently on sale. However, this should not be an exact copy of the current model. The next-gen midsize SUV is rumored to be built on the same platform as the Italian Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio. This means that its wheelbase will be longer, which means a third row of seats may be offered.
We don’t have renders showing the new 2022 Grand Cherokee interior, but we do have some recent spy shots of this part of the SUV. The interior of the car will become more technological. A large, angled screen for the infotainment system stands out in the center console, framed by stitched leather. The instrument cluster is likely to go digital.
The SUV will debut later this year and will go on sale in the second quarter of next year as a 2022 model.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that a prototype of the updated Jeep Compass crossover was seen on tests. An American crossover in the 2022 model year was spotted in a series of tests. The novelty received a screen of the infotainment system in the form of a tablet. The modified rear lights are also visible.
