The Volvo S60 will receive a 415-hp version of PolestarJune 13, 2018
Factory tuning studio Polestar has become an independent brand and develops own cars, but is still responsible for building “charged” modifications of Volvo models.
The manufacturer announced a hot version of the Volvo S60 sedan with a prefix Polestar Engineered. This is the name of the package of upgrades of the top-end hybrid system T8, intended for the 60 series. The premiere of the novelty is scheduled for June 20. By the way, brake calipers of golden color will be the firm chip of the package.
The “charged” version of the S60 hybrid sedan will have a similar Polestar 1 sports car with rigid springs, adjustable Ohlins shock absorbers and a spacer between the front pillars to enhance rigidity.
In addition, the package Polestar Engineered includes Brembo brakes, brake pads with increased resistance to overheating, sports seats and gold seat belts, as well as tailpipes with black chrome trim.
The power of the hybrid system T8 Twin Engine in the sedan Volvo S60 will be 400 hp and 640 Nm of torque in the version for the US market. With the Polestar Engineered package, the power and traction will be increased to 415 hp and 670 Nm.
Recall, the premiere of the new Volvo S60 will be held at the first American factory of the brand in Charleston, which is also new. We can say that the presentation of the enterprise itself will take place in parallel. The sedan will be the first model of Volvo of American manufacture, and its assembly will be adjusted exclusively there.
Recall, the sedan Volvo S60 will be the first model of the Swedish brand, in the power spectrum of which there will be no diesel engines.
