The video published by Nissan shows the restoration process of the Nissan GT-R supercar of the R34 generation in the tuned version of Z-Tunes. A total of 18 such vehicles were created.
Japanese supercar Nissan GT-R is a true legend among sports car enthusiasts and is one of the greatest models ever created by Nissan. The automaker for all time introduced 18 copies of the Nissan GT-R generation R34 in the performance of Z-Tunes – these are highly modernized versions of the model. Among them there are two rarest cars with Midnight Purple III body color, in today’s article we will focus on them.
By itself, the Japanese R34 generation supercar was the latest modification of the model, which used the legendary RB-series engine, which was very loved by the tuner community. The Nissan GT-R (R34) was produced between 1999 and 2002, during which time several high-performance versions of the model were produced that raised the GT-R to a new level of performance – one of them was the Z-Tunes version.
All Nissan GT-R Z-Tune were based on the V-Spec configuration, and the manufacturer picked up cars with mileage of less than 28,968 km. All representatives of the exclusive series were painted in a special color, dubbed Z-Tune Silver (silver). All but one – the Midnight Purple III body shade was chosen for her.
Z-Tune GT-Rs were equipped with the RB28DETT engine, which produced 500 horsepower and spun up to 8,000 rpm. Nismo sports engineers used the new IHI turbochargers and the R26 RB26DETT engine block. Supercars also received larger Brembo brakes and Sachs shock absorbers.
The GT-R in today’s video is one of those original Z-Tune R34s that have recently been rebuilt. During the restoration, one of them was painted Midnight Purple III instead of the original Z-Tune Silver. Thus, in the collection of the Japanese brand there are two copies of the Nissan GT-R, with the body color of Midnight Purple III.
Not so long ago, we wrote that Nissan would stop producing the Cube. The Japanese corporation is going to permanently stop production of the Nissan Cube.
