The debut of the updated Mitsubishi Outlander is not far off, so the company continues the teaser campaign of the model, showing this time testing a prototype, at the same time announcing the exact date of the premiere.
According to the press service of Mitsubishi, the new Outlander will inherit the features of the Pajero / Montero Cross Country SUV. At the same time, the car received a revised selector for the selection of driving modes, which will provide confidence in driving on any type of surface.
“We have used all our accumulated on-road and off-road driving knowledge from years of rally racing experience and applied it to enhance our new Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) platform,” said Kentaro Honda, project chief engineer.
Japanese engineers are expected to borrow the platform from the new Nissan X-Trail for their crossover. It is also possible that the restyled Outlander will acquire a hybrid power plant, details of which are not yet available.
The official debut of the model is scheduled for February 16, 2021. At the same time, car sales will start in the markets of the USA, Canada and Puerto Rico.
