The video showed how an electric Audi e-tron rises along the mountain roadFebruary 20, 2019
Electric crossover from the guys from Ingolstadt managed to overcome 85% of the ski slope. The car went through a number of improvements and was driven by professional racer Matthias Ekström.
The press service of the company continues the aggressive advertising campaign of its own electric crossover Audi e-tron. At this time, a video was published, which demonstrated the possibilities of a crossover to climb the snow-covered ski slope. An experimental race took place in Kitzbühel, Austria, on the famous Streif track, where downhill competitions are held.
True, the video was not attended by a serial sample, but a copy modified with the participation of the Red Bull team. The power plant was completely reworked, which received three electric motors (one on the front and two on the rear axle). The total power was 503 horsepower and 8 920 Nm of torque.
Of course, it was not without the installation of a special transmission control software, designed specifically to adapt to the rise by 85% slope with a slippery surface. And this would be little if it were not for the 19-inch alloy wheels, shod in special studded tires.
In a series of similar modification will never go, but it is quite possible that it will continue to be shot in a series of extreme commercials.
Meanwhile, Audi is preparing for the debut and series of new electrocrossed Audi Q4 e-Tron. Now the company showed us the first images of the car on official renders. A full-fledged pre-production prototype will be demonstrated in March in Geneva. Buy it will be a couple of years.
