The updated sedan Genesis G70 will be left without new enginesAugust 31, 2020
Restyling, which will undergo the most “budget” sedan from the premium brand Genesis, will not affect the engine range, inherited by the Genesis G70 initially. So we will not see the new engines that Koreans put on their cars on this model.
After the update, the Genesis G70 sedan will be equipped with the same engines as before. This information is shared by The Korean Car Blog.
It is known that the restyled sedan will receive a V6 turbo engine with a displacement of 3.3 liters, as on the KIA Stinger. The output of the power unit will be 373 hp. The brand will also offer customers a 2.2-liter diesel engine that is well known to them. The Koreans are in no hurry to abandon it: the appearance on the European car market of the G70 station wagon, which would be very suitable for such a power plant, is not far off.
Earlier, information appeared on the Web that the updated sedan may receive a motor line from the Genesis G80. It is a new 2.5-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine producing 304 hp. and a 3.5-liter 380-horsepower V6. The sedan did not receive a more powerful V6, but there are still chances to get another engine – it can replace the current two-liter engine.
In our car market, the “pre-styling” sedan with the G70 index is equipped with a 4-cylinder engine with a displacement of two liters. Its power ranges from 197 to 247 horsepower. In conjunction with him work 8АКПП and four-wheel drive.
