The updated Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S was brought to the road for the first timeNovember 7, 2020
Carscoops released spy shots of a prototype of the updated Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S, which was spotted near the Nürburgring.
Judging by the photo, the concept is at an early stage of development, so it looks identical to the current model. At the same time, the only change on the prototype currently, most likely, affected the front bumper, since the manufacturer decided to hide this part from prying eyes. Although it is too early to draw any conclusions, the revised air intakes are most likely under the camouflage on the front.
It can be assumed that soon the German company will bring a more disguised concept of the novelty onto the road in view of the upcoming stylistic changes. As for the technical part of the upcoming new car, it is assumed that it will not change. So, under the hood of the updated model will be a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with a capacity of 630 hp. and 900 Nm of torque, which will allow the car to accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds and accelerate to a maximum of 315 km / h.
It should be said that all 4-door GT variants will face restyling, including the GT 43 and GT 53. Along with this, along with the appearance of the updated GT family, the Mercedes-AMG GT 73 hybrid model is expected, which will receive a gasoline engine from the GT 63 and an electric motor … The total capacity of the unit will exceed 800 hp.
In addition, it was recently noted that the German company Mercedes-Benz is refusing to participate in autonomous driving races. It should be emphasized that the corresponding statement was made by a representative of the German automaker.
