The updated Genesis G80 sedan will receive a 420-horsepower sport versionApril 8, 2020
The next generation model debuted at home on March 30. Now it has become known that the new version will have a “charged” version of Sport.
The recently presented Genesis G80 business sedan of the third generation will have a “hot” sport version. About this writes the South Korean portal Top-Rider. According to local media, the new product will receive a 420-horsepower V6 T-GDI engine with a displacement of 3.5 liters. When the brand introduces the sporty Genesis G80, it has not yet been announced. Auto experts predict that the “charged” sedan may debut in the 2020th. The forced engine, most likely, will work with the same 8AKPP as the standard version of the G80 with turbo engines.
It is possible that outwardly the novelty can be recognized by a more aggressive aerodynamic body kit, a redesigned exhaust system and a “sported” interior.
For buyers in the home market, the brand can offer rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions of the sports novelty. But for export, probably only cars with all-wheel drive will be sent. The fact that the updated G80 Sport will receive the status of a global model, experts have no doubt. After all, the “pre-reform” G80 also had a sports performance, sold in different countries of the world.
As for the new Genesis G80, about 22,000 pre-orders were issued for the new product on the day of the public premiere.
