The updated crossover BMW X3 2022 was first seen on testsAugust 3, 2020
Automobile journalists have published photos from tests of the updated BMW X3 crossover. Despite the disguise, you can easily see some changes in the appearance of the new item.
BMW is currently testing an updated version of the newest X3 compact crossover. In parallel with this, the premium German brand is also creating an all-electric version of the model, which will receive the iX3 designation.
The current – the third in a row – generation of the classic BMW crossover (with an internal combustion engine), has an internal G01 index. It has been on the market for about three years, so it seems that right now the Bavarians are thinking about introducing a restyled version of the BMW X3.
The prototype of the new X3 SUV was first noticed by auto journalists.
The car received camouflage front and rear, which suggests that we are expecting updated optics and bumpers.
It looks like the false grille will also undergo some changes, but it looks like BMW will not go the M3 / M4 route by making this design element for its crossover huge in size. The small wheels and round tailpipes suggest we are looking at one of the base versions of the new BMW X3, but rest assured that a powerful M40i version, as well as a high-performance X3 M, will also be available.
Since this is just a facelift and not a new generation of the model, don’t expect big changes in the compact crossover. BMW is likely to update the trim options, equip the model with new technologies and an updated iDrive infotainment complex.
Since this is the first time a refreshed X3 appears in benchmarks, we do not expect an official launch this year. Most likely, the novelty will debut in Europe in 2021.
