The tuner increased the power of the Mercedes-AMG SL63 to 789 hpFebruary 12, 2019
Tuning company G-Power was able to accelerate the German “charged” roadster to a speed of 339 km / h. Specialists installed large turbines, stainless steel exhaust system and updated software.
As part of its recent project, German tuners from G-Power decided to modernize the German Mercedes-AMG SL63 “charged” roadster and work with its 5.5-liter V8 Twin-Turbo engine. Looking ahead to say that they managed to increase its maximum power to 789 horsepower (1100 Nm of torque).
For comparison, the power of the factory version of this car is 577 hp, and the torque value is 900 Nm, so this is a pretty serious update for the car.
For such an increase in power required the installation of several new parts. This is a pair of turbochargers, a more high-performance stainless steel exhaust system. There is also a new software that adjusts the engine so that it works at the peak of its capabilities. Also offered removal of the integrated electronic speed limiter, of course, for an additional fee.
With all these new details, the SL63 can accelerate to a speed of 100 km / h in just over three seconds, against 4 seconds in the standard version. Without a maximum speed limit, the luxury roadster can reach speeds of up to 340 km / h.
G-Power offers a set of forged 21-inch wheels. They have five pairs of double knitting needles with machined edges and black details.
